Well, I came home from a week-long trip to find Merlin (one of my bettas) with severe dropsy. It was so far along that I had to euthanize him. (At least I had clove oil...) Well guess what? Next day, Pi (another betta) comes down with it too! So I'm treating her as best as I can because she's in the early stages and still treatable. If she's not better at the end of the treatment course, I'm gonna have to euthanize her too. AND THEN Winter (yet another betta) comes down with BLOAT! So I'm fasting her, and then I discover that my chicken flock has COCCIDIOSIS! That means more medicine. And on top of all THAT, there's this hawk that keeps swooping down into the yard and eating the youngest chickens!
RAWR!!!!!
The only positive thing that I can think to say is that my family has been very kind and supportive about all this. I can't thank them enough for being there for me.

I have no idea. Chickens can pass coccidiosis to each other, so I imagine that one of the new birds that we got brought it in. I think Merlin passed his dropsy to Pi (who is recovering thank goodness). Winter probably just ate too many bloodworms lol.
